i am soooo obsessed with southwestern gothic. i looove goth cowboys i love the spookiness of the desert at night i love the drama of it all. i want to find god in the vultures circling above my decaying body. i want to find love in cactus blooms and scorpion stings. also i saw a hawk swoop down from the sky and come back up with the biggest fucking snake i’ve ever seen in its talons while driving to the grand canyon once and it was so fucking gnarly that it’s stuck with me for years.
Same! Southern Gothic is extremely underrated as are the bands that took this aesthetic and were able to translate it into music.
